JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Senior Accountant has advanced tax preparation and planning skills and is enthusiastic about client service and self-development. This position has a strong focus on business tax preparation and planning and performs a wide assortment of advanced client work reflecting a broad experience in all phases of accounting, tax, advisory, and consulting. Senior Accountants use professional judgement and critical thinking skills to identify opportunities and complete a wide assortment of advanced work. Senior Accountants review engagements completed by less experienced staff and will assume client management responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this position has an established area of expertise or interest working with business clients in a collaborative environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Income Tax Preparation (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040)
  • Review tax returns or projects prepared by staff accountants
  • Tax planning for businesses and shareholders, including complex and multi-year scenarios
  • Perform advanced financial analysis (including cash-flow and forecasts)
  • Analyze and interpret client data to diagnose opportunities and present solutions
  • Establish professional relationships with assigned clients and oversee their engagements
  • Organize and conduct staff trainings to help drive firm initiatives
  • Support assurance, advisory, consulting, and accounting services as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
  • 2+ years’ tax experience
  • Active CPA license or other accredited certification preferred
  • Experience with CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx tax or similar tax preparation software
  • Experience in CCH ProSystem fx Engagement preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with proficiency in all Microsoft Office 365 applications

SCHEDULE & LOCATION:

  • 40 hrs/week
  • Hybrid flexibility after first few weeks (in office and remote)
  • Extended hours during busy season (Jan 15 – Apr 15)
  • Decreased Summer hours – 36 hrs/week (Memorial Day to Labor Day)
  • Office closed Fridays from April 15 – Labor Day

Salary: $68,000-$85,000

POSITION SUMMARY:

Staff Accountants have a strong focus on preparing client tax returns, but will also perform services such as business analytics, tax minimization and tax planning, and monthly/quarterly integrated accounting solutions. Staff Accountants typically assist Managers and Partners in completing client engagements and most work is performed with some level of review or supervision.

This is an entry level position with room for advancement and is ideal for someone interested in developing technical skills who also enjoys client service and working collaboratively. The ideal candidate pays attention to detail, can generate new ideas, identifies opportunities, and feels a great sense of ownership in their work.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Income tax preparation (1040, 1120,1120S, 1065) of easy to moderate complexity
  • Tax planning for businesses and individuals
  • Monthly/Quarterly accounting/bookkeeping
  • Communicate and meet with clients as needed
  • Support assurance, advisory, consulting, and accounting services as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Internship or 1+ years of experience in Public Accounting or relevant field
  • Experience with CCH Acxess or ProSystem fx Tax tax preparation software or similar
  • Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement software (preferred)
  • Proficient with Office 365 with intermediate skills in Excel
  • Familiar with Adobe and QuickBooks (online and Destop)

SCHEDULE & LOCATION:

This is a full time 40-hour per week position.  Our technology and processes allow for hybrid work models, but the majority of our staff chooses to work primarily in-office. To meet client needs, our staff works increased hours during tax season (Feb – Apr) and enjoys decreased summer hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day).

SALARY:

$55,000 – $65,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Our Interns are partnered with team members who will provide training, ongoing feedback on performance, context for meaningful work, and industry knowledge.

This is a skill building position designed to help students studying Accounting and Tax gain industry experience and develop technical skills. Applicants should be eager to learn and excited to interact with clients and other members of staff. Interns who complete our program are encouraged to continue their career with DHA by joining us as Staff Accountants after graduation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Preparation of bookkeeping and payroll processing
  • Assist with tax planning and calculation of estimated tax payments
  • Utilize current tax and accounting software and applications in a digital environment
  • Build rapport with clients while working on their engagements
  • Complete self-studies, formal training, and tax related research
  • Collaborate with team members through effective written and verbal communication
  • Report issues and progress to Supervisor

SCHEDULE & LOCATION:

This is a part time summer position, scheduled Monday – Thursday, 20 hours a week. Start date and weekly schedule are flexible based on candidate availability. Length of internship is also flexible based on program requirements, standard would be between 9 and 10 weeks. Our technology and processes allow for hybrid work models, but the majority of work should be completed in-office (Chaska, MN).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you eager to build skills in automation and want to play a larger role in strategic planning? If so, this IT Support Specialist position may be the perfect fit for you. The IT Support Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining internal IT systems, troubleshooting computer hardware, and assisting with the development and implementation of automation, RPAs, and other software solutions, including the implementation of emerging AI technologies. This is a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about learning new technologies, including AI, and enjoys enhancing systems integrations. The IT Support Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the IT infrastructure by ensuring all equipment, servers, and software are functional and operating as efficiently and effectively as possible. The IT Support Specialist reports to the Director if IT who will provide any necessary training for complex projects. They will also participate in implementing the firm’s strategic IT plan by conducting independent research and providing suggestions for enhancements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technology issues for staff and clients
  • Select and utilize a tracking system for support tickets
  • Provide technical support to staff and clients
  • Maintain, update, and upgrade software and hardware
